I am a big fan of Walt Kelly’s Pogo. Kelly could produce such amazing comic action in his panels. I also have studied Chuch Jone’s Looney Tunes to try to learn from his pose to pose action. Nothing beats learning from the Masters of comic action. I’ll never get to that level but it gives me a target on which to aim.
