Like most towns, Lake Tuberville has plenty of stuff for which we’re proud. Foremost among our exports is Worthog Brand Fertilizer. This organically made product comes from some of the South’s finest pig poop. It has been bringing home the bacon for more than half a century. Not to be confused with its competitor Elephant Brand, Worthog has twice the growing power with half the smell. And that’s a real plus too, as Worthog Brand is endorsed by many of our local farmers who have quite the nose for getting the most from the least. So the next time you are planting sweet potatoes or daffodils, try to perk up your garden by spreading on a healthy share of Worthog Brand Fertilizer. It’s guaranteed to be all natural.

April Comments Contest
Here is your chance to win some Bug Pudding art. As part of the Lake Tuberville 2010 stimulus package, your comments posted on Bug Pudding comics during the month of April will automatically enter you in our prize drawing. You can comment as often as you wish and each comment gets you a “ticket” in the contest jar. On May 1st, 2010, we will draw 3 winning tickets, one for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. You can only win one prize, but your odds of winning go up with the number of tickets you have in the contest jar, so frequent commenting is encouraged.
Inappropriate comments will be disqualified.
The 1st place winner will receive an autographed “digi-original” print of their favorite Bug Pudding comic strip which will be suitable for framing including a hand drawn character sketch, plus an additional hand drawn and inked piece of original Bug Pudding character art never before published.
The 2nd place winner will receive an autographed “digi-original” print of their favorite Bug Pudding comic strip which will be suitable for framing including a hand drawn character sketch.
The 3rd place winner will receive an autographed “digi-original” print of the Bug Pudding “Illustrated Insanity” poster which will be suitable for framing.
Results will be posted on May 4th, 2010 and winners notified via e-mail.
Suitable For Framing
In a world where comic strip art can be done totally digital, one big trade off is the absence of physical art work suitable for framing and display. Here is my first attempt at closing that gap. These are prints of the actual strips brought to life in the real world. They will be going up on my studio wall eventually, but for now they are scheduled to travel with me to some conventions for show and tell.
When talking to potential readers at a convention, my goal is always to make sure that they at least walk away from our meeting with the www.bugpudding.com URL firmly memorized as well as a nice printed souvenir post card to remind them how to find the comic online. But, nothing is more compelling than physically looking at and holding the comic art itself. Thanks to a suggestion from Bill Riling, we are now calling these prints “Digi-Original” art.
